Google Meet auto admit

Understanding the Chrome Extension: Google Meet Auto Admit

Accessing information and enhancing communication among different stakeholders has been simplified by the introduction of various online tools and platforms. Among these developments, Chrome extensions have proven to be highly useful. They extend the functionality of the Google Chrome browser and make online collaboration more efficient. This article delves into one of these valuable extensions: Google Meet Auto Admit.

A Brief Overview of the Extension

The Google Meet Auto Admit is a Chrome extension designed to facilitate video chat and online video communication. This extension automatically clicks the "Admit" button when a join request comes in from external guests during Google Meet sessions, thereby saving time and enhancing the efficiency of online collaboration. However, based on the aggregate user rating of 2.9 out of 5, there are a few areas where the extension falls short.

User Reviews and Shortcomings

A deep dive into the user reviews reveals a mixed bag of experiences. While some users, like Ice Apitsada, find it perfectly functional, a significant number of users have had issues with the extension. Users like Dominican School of Mexico and Sunita Lambat express disappointment about the extension's functionality, noting that it broke after some time and does not work as efficiently as it did initially. User Michael Riordan highlighted how the software's shortcomings resulted in significant financial losses during a webinar session. The extension seems to particularly struggle when the user is in presentation mode, as pointed out by both Faisal Ahmed and Nazahiyah Saad (AS).

Analysis and Recommendations

Given the aforementioned user experiences and the extension's low rating, it is clear that the Google Meet Auto Admit Chrome extension has significant room for improvement. The complaints indicate that the extension's functionality often fails, particularly during presentation modes. Users also report that it stops working after a period of usage. These issues can result in significant disruptions of online video communications and collaborations, leading to frustration and potential financial losses.

It is, therefore, advisable to look for alternative Chrome extensions that offer reliable video chat and online video collaboration services. Additionally, the developers of this extension need to address these complaints and improve the software's functionality to enhance user experience and satisfaction.

Conclusion

While the Google Meet Auto Admit extension aims to streamline the process of admitting participants into a Google Meet session, it falls short in delivering consistent and reliable performance based on user reviews and its overall rating. The feedback from these reviews is essential for both potential users in guiding their choice of extensions, and for developers in identifying areas that need improvement. Online collaboration tools and extensions should offer reliability and efficiency to effectively facilitate communication and information sharing in the digital space.

This extension worked when i downloaded it a week ago. I ran a webinar with it yesterday and started the presentation. A total of 4 people were admitted by me before starting I heard the doorbell sound multiple times but looged at the attendance log and the same 4 people were the only ones still there and let in. This cost me thousands of dollars. this app should be removed from the chrome store

Dominican School of Mexico

This extension was exceptional. It was simple and easy to use. But unfortunately for the last 2 months or so, the extension broke and it does not function. I hope it will be fixed and updated by the developer. I have been using this extension since Online Classes has been a thing (about a year now).

Sunita Lambat

It is giving me a problem from 3 weeks first it worked very nice but now it just doent work

faisal ahmed

Does not work in presentation mode.

Nazahiyah Saad (AS)

This is good but it doesn't work when I'm presenting or sharing my screen. I still need to log in with two devices in order to admit the late comers when I'm presenting. Just the same as physical class, late comers always a disturbance to lectures.

Ice Apitsada

Works perfectly. Icon showed 'activated' or 'deactivated' status. Thank you!
